This piece is a triptych nude study done with monochromatic, underglaze, washes. It is comprised of three 4 inch tiles made of buff colored earthenware clay. The tiles are embedded in a stoneware plaque and surrounded with black grout. The right side of the plaque has been purposely broken off to add interest.

The back of the piece is cork covered to protect any wall where it might hang. The hanging mechanism is a carved groove in the back of the plaque. Click the image below for a better look at this groove.
