This is an amethyst colored, textured, wall, bud vase. It is a strong eye-catcher as you will see if you explore the picture links below.

It is made of earthenware clay that was burnished on the barrel portion then bisque fired to cone 04.

Amethyst, purple, and black underglazes were applied and an arroya separating glaze was applied on the foot and the tip of the top. Then an old world crackle glaze was applied to the barrel. All glazes were fired to cone 05.

The piece hangs from a leather cord threaded through the back. It is designed for dry displays only.
